The Monts Telliers are twin peaks about 120 metres apart. They are mostly climbed in winter by skiers setting off from the Super-Saint-Bernard. Sitting between the Mont Blanc massif the the Valais Alps, they offer magnificent views of the Grandes Jorasses and the Mont Blanc. In the other direction, the Vélan is overshadowed by the mighty Grand Combin. The name (according to J. Guex) probably comes from the Latin « monticulum » meaning small mountains.
